Everyone in the world, however great or small, has some aim in life. Robert Browning says, “The aim, if reached or not makes great the life.” So the aim is very important in life. It is like a guiding star. Different people have different ambitions. Some one’s aim is for fame, some one’s for power and some one’s for money. Some aim at acquiring knowledge. I have also a high ambition in life. My ambition in life is to get happiness for myself and also for others. To realize this ambition, I have decided to become an English teacher. There are several reasons for my choice. Teaching is a noble profession. The best people in the world are those who teach others. Teachers is a noble and respectable member of society. He serves the nation and makes it strong through knowledge. All the progress of the world is due to knowledge. The Holy Quran says, “God exalts those of you, who believe and who are given knowledge to high ranks.”

I am suited to this profession. I am fond of reading and teaching. By adopting this profession I shall lead a life of learning. I shall serve the nation in the best interest of my country. Now I work hard to achieve my aim. I devote all my time to study English. I read good books of literature, famous magazines and English dailies. In the realization of my aim, I shall follow the principles of truth and justice. I shall always strive to keep my ambition pure, honest, honourable and free of corruption. At any cost, I would never dream of living a selfish life.
