My dear Rashid,
I have not heard from you for a long time. I am sure you are in good health.
Last week, I had to go to Jhelum with a marriage party. It was the marriage of my colleague. Among other places, we visited the Shrine of Pir Baba. It is a shrine sacred to the Muslims and was got built by the public in the middle of a deep tank full of clear water. It is a two-storey building. The walls are painted with beautiful pictures depicting events of Islam. The building is connected with a bank of the tank by a narrow bridge. The Shrine is visited by hundreds of men, women and children daily who offer money, at the Darbar. A guardian is in charge of the Shrine and is appointed by the Committee for management.
You should make it a point to see whenever you find an opportunity to go to Lahore. It is really a place worth seeing.
With best wishes.
Yours sincerely,
Ashfaq.
