My dear Brother,

I am safe and sound and hope you will also be enjoying a healthy life with the blessings and grace of Allah Almighty.

It is more than two months that you have been studying at a place away from us. I have come to know through reliable resources that you are not paying full attention to your studies but wasting your time by indulging in frivolities. You have adopted the company of vagabonds. You have also adopted smoking and cinema-going.

You please never think of joining students unions. You should not take part in any political adventure. Politics and this stage is very harmful to students. I am much grieved at this. So, I would like you to always keep certain things in mind.

Your first and foremost duty is to study with whole devotion. This is the time of your hard work. If you lose it, you will repent throughout your life.

You know a man is known by the company he keeps. You will come across some students who come to college just for enjoyment. There are also habitual cinemagoers. They have no interest in their studies. So, avoid bad company and pay your full attention to your studies for a bright future.

The entire family rests high hopes in you. You should always keep your goal in view. You should not become a book-worm either. A healthy body keeps a healthy mind, you should take care of your health. Your distinction in the examination cannot be fruitful if your health is not good. So, pay attention to your diet, take exercise daily and play games.

Show great respect to all of your teachers. I hope you will pay heed to my advice. Best of luck.

Yours sincerely,
X.Y.Z
