My dear father,
I am very well here and hope that you would be in your sound health. I also pray to Almighty Allah for your long life. Before writing this letter, I thought much because I know your benevolence and kindness for my very well. I did not want to put any extra burden on you but father it is inevitable. As you know the winter season has started and it is cold all the day and especially it is bitter frost and fog when I come to college in the morning last week. I caught cold because I did not have winter clothes and due to this, I had been suffering from fever for two days. It made me uneasy and I could not study properly for three days. I want to buy as weather and a jacket to save myself from this bitter cold.
On the other hand, my teachers have suggested an English dictionary and some helping books for chemistry and Biology without which I cannot prepare myself well for the annual examination. With the consultation of these books, I am sure to obtain very good marks in the annual examination to fulfil my commitment to achieving the gold medal.
So, my dear father, I requested you to please send me five thousand rupees to buy these things. I hope your affection and guidance would always be a great support and inspiration for me.
Pay my best regards to mother and all at home.
Thank you for everything you are already doing for family and me.
Your loving son,
X.Y.Z
