In 1831 Michael Faraday in England and at the same time Joseph Henry in the USA observed that an emf is set up in a conductor when it moves across a magnetic field.
What is mutual induction.
the phenomenon in which a changing current in one coil induces an EMF in another coil is called mutual induction.
