CELL CYCLE
Definition:
The series of changes, which occur in the cell involving.
- Period of growth, Replication of DNA
- Cell Division
Phases of Cell Cycle:
The cell cycle comprises two phases:
(i) Interphase:
It is the period of non-apparent division.
(ii) Mitotic Phase:
It is the period of division. Each phase is further sub division into different sub-phases.
INTERPHASE: Definition:
“The period of cell cycle, between two consecutive division interphase.”
It is sometines misleadingly called restin g chromosomes are not visible during this phase. But is the period of gerat bisochemical activity.
